From Gunsan to Iksan

Due to incoming typhoons, I delayed my trip a day. I got up at 5 a.m. and left home at 6:56 a.m. I stopped by the red booth at the start of the trail about 45 or 50 minutes later. I started the actual bike path a little before 8. It's a few minutes past 9 now and I'm at a little rest stop in Iksan. I won't tarry here, though - the noisy insects are driving me away!

Here are some pictures from my trip so far.

Did I Mention That I Bought Another Bike?

Hopefully this bike will be much faster than the blue one. I plan on cycling the Geum Gang again this year, and this time I hope to ride both ways!

They're calling for typhoons, though, so anything can happen...

Vacation Homework

It's finally vacation!

Unfortunately, our students have to do vacation homework. Usually this essentially consists of two ten-page take-home tests, one from the class's primary Korean teacher and the other from the primary foreign teacher. It stinks having to do homework on vacation, so I thought I'd try to make my homework at least look exciting, in case that dulls the pain.

My boss actually complimented me on my booklets, and two of my classes actually cheered when I gave them my homework. I could barely believe that anyone would cheer to get vacation homework, so I guess my plan was a success.

My New Friend

Its attraction to my bicycle reminded me of my little friend from last year.

From THE NORWAY!

I'm sure glad it's processed sanitarily.

From the one...the only...the Norway!
